Although most of the engraving we do is on stainless steel, anodized aluminum and plastic. Our focus is on engraving control panels, enclosures, data plates, lamicoids, valve tags, identification serial number plates, electrical face plates and other challenging and heavy duty projects. We are operating in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, but we also have established a lot of customers across Canada and the United States. Our fast service, superior quality and competitive price are responsible for many strong customer relationships.

LASER MARKING

Laser marking is the process of marking a surface using a focused beam of light. Laser marking can mark a variety of materials such as stainless steel, plastic, glass, marble, granite, leather, cork, wood, rubber and many others. It is often used to identify parts and products with 2D barcodes (data matrix codes or QR codes), alphanumerical serial numbers, VIN numbers, and logos but also control panels, data plates, valve tags, enclosures, gauges, faceplates and many other products.

CNC ROTARY ENGRAVING

CNC Engraving is the process of gradually removing a small amount of material from a surface along a defined path. The process leaves a visible marking on the surface of the substrate (workpiece). The cutting tool is quite similar to a normal machining tool and has cutting edges in the shape of flutes. Imagine how a drill bit spins and cuts through the material due to its sharp edges. Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Engraving is the modern version of engraving whereby automatic CNC technology guides the engraving tool with high accuracy and precision control.

ACID ETCHING

Acid Etching is the process of using chemicals to cut into the unprotected parts of a metal surface. This is achieved by removing the resist from the areas you want to etch and exposing the bare metal. The solution etches away the unprotected portions of the material to reproduce the desired image. This method of engraving uses a high-pressure and high-temperature chemical solution. On a regular basis we have to control substance of chemical solution in order to get desired deepness at minimum 0.010". Acid Etching is a State of the Art method for Deep Engraving, in regards to quality, precision, speed and value. We are proud of our work received by Acid Etching and the best proof is to see our gallery.

RE: PAINTING:

We use many different techniques to ensure our engraving is filled with the best quality paint. We use paint that offers superior rust inhibition and is specially formulated to bind to metal. This give us confidence that our engraving will last for years to come, especially in rough outdoor environments.

Poltec is owned and operated by Robert Turowski who graduated from the Engraving School of Art in Poland in 1980. Robert spent many years working in the engraving industry, with experience in: jewelry, trophies, and signage, to heavy duty industrial projects, currently specializing in engraving and cutting control panels, data nameplates, dials, gauges, labels, tags, etc., on metal or plastic using laser, rotary CNC machine or chemical acid etching.
Sixteen years following graduation, Robert no longer felt challenged and sought to fulfill a gap in the market for industrial engraving, thus the birth of Poltec Industrial Engraving Ltd. in 1996.
We work closely with our customers, and offer them custom, unique engraving solutions to ensure they will be satisfied with the final result.
